Sound Play– Ready for Reading coming soon to Bristol!

The Bristol & Beyond Stronger Practice Hub is looking for 12 early years settings in Bristol to participate in the Sound Play- Ready for Reading programme, starting in October 2023.

The Sound Play programme is for EYs practitioners working with 3–4-year-olds and aims to increase their knowledge and confidence in teaching phonological awareness to support early literacy. This programme will support children including those from disadvantaged / diverse groups and children with SEND to arrive at school with increased motivation and readiness for phonics teaching in Reception and beyond. It centres around songs, rhymes and stories in your everyday practice and promises to be lots of fun!

This is a fully funded programme with £2000 for settings upon completion to be used for staffing costs and / or resources.  Please see the attached flyer and more detailed overview for further details and how to register your expression of interest
