Dear Colleagues,

We hope you have had a relaxing half term break. Please find the November Bulletin for EYFS in Schools attached to this email together with a number of flyers to share with staff and/or families. This month’s Bulletin has important reminders about the free Multilingual toolkits that the Bristol Early Language (BEL) project has funded for every school. Please do take up this amazing opportunity to develop best practice to support our children and families with a first language other than English. There is also still time get started with the free Wellcomm language screening tool this year. Wellcomm is a nationally recognised tool for assessing children’s language skills and identifying needs, it also provides lots of ideas for supporting their development, so do look out for the training dates this term. The Bulletin also has national and local updates and CPD offers, as well as some key dates for your diaries. 

Please do take time to read the Bulletin, share it with staff, and do stay connected via your lead teacher and the Bristol EY website.
