Subject: Free Transition Training with Dingley’s Promise

 

Dear Early Years Leaders in Schools

As part of our ongoing commitment to improve consistency in positive transitions for young children with SEND, we are linking up with Dingley’s Promise (https://dingley.org.uk) in order to offer free virtual training to a limited number of practitioners.

The training includes three units around transitions for children, families and professionals.  It includes trainer facilitated live webinars (one per unit) and a completion certificate at the end.  The time commitment is one hour per unit (5hrs total) with additional practical activities for deeper learning.

The timescales require course completion before the end of February 2022, which we anticipate will link in with the launch of Bristol’s guidance on transition in the early years.

We hope the outcomes of the support will include both practical improvements to transitions within settings, and a longer term action plan which is achieving change across the area too.
