Dear Free Early Education Entitlement Providers – all sectors,
Autumn 2020 – FEEE Funding Arrangements
In line with the latest DfE guidance, Bristol City Council is pleased to support early years providers with funding levels as they would have been in the coming Autumn 2020 term, as if COVID-19 was not happening. This means that when you complete your Early Years Headcount (17/09/2020) or School Census (01/10/2020) you should include all children that were expected to be in attendance. This will allow payments to be made to support your sustainability as we ease out of the lockdown this term.
If you have not been able to re-open your provision because you were left with no option to close (due to public health reasons only) then Bristol City Council will continue to fund your free places (but please submit your headcount or census – as we will not make any assumption from a previous claim). We will not be able to fund any provider who will remain closed from 1st Sept 2020 without public health reasons.
From January 2021, the DfE have confirmed that all FEEE funding will return to a ‘participation basis’ (i.e. you may only claim for children in attendance). Please accept our apologies that this information was not available prior to the end of term for many providers, but will hopefully be welcomed news.
