Dear Early Years Provider/Early Years SENCo,

The Early Years Service has been undertaking an ongoing review of the Early Years Special Educational Needs Panel process; guided by a multi professional Task and Finish Group with representation from across the early years sector and other services. The Task and Finish Group have recommended improvements to the panel review system in response to feedback from the early years sector. The main changes are that the funding is going to be allocated in principle for a longer period and the review process has been streamlined. Changes will be implemented from the March 2025 meeting of the Early Years SEN Panel onwards.
