BEYORN

Bristol Early Years Outdoor Research Network (BEYORN)

The research network originated at Redcliffe Nursery School and was formed to allow practitioners with a passion for the outdoors to come together and discuss current research and to share good practice. There is a vast array of outdoor areas in Bristol settings ranging from large green spaces to concrete playgrounds and some settings who have little or no outdoor space at all. Everyone can share something and contribute ideas at the network.

BEYORN holds twilight meetings three times a year. These are normally held at Redcliffe Nursery School but for the last year have been online via ZOOM. Everyone is welcome and valued. Sometimes we have guest speakers and there is plenty of time to discuss things such as a piece of research or a book we are reading. We explore current topics such as ecology and sustainability and share details of open spaces around Bristol. The meetings are relaxed and friendly and it is wonderful to be able to share enthusiasm about the great outdoors.
