Bristol Men in Early Years (BMIEY) are a city wide network of men and women who work with children aged from birth to seven. Consisting of early years practitioners, teachers, head teachers, governors, childminders and family support workers, they meet four times a year to share experiences and ideas as well as talk about current research and issues; ranging from child protection and challenging stereotypes to practical activities and increasing the involvement of significant males in children’s lives.

BMIEY have just launched a new website which showcases the work they do to promote men working in early years education.  If you would like to hear more about what they do, or how you might support them to challenge common perceptions and encourage more men to become more involved in children’s lives, go to https://www.bmiey.co.uk/
